Best Boulder Music Venues in the Boulder Colorado Area

The city of Boulder has plenty of active music fans and great music venues. The city is big on bluegrass, EDM, Americana, and Jam Band. Not your taste? No problem! There are plenty of other genres that are easy to find around the city. Here are some of the best music venues that need to be on your list:

The Fox Theatre. Seriously, this place is known throughout the entire city and is THE place for music. It’s a great concert atmosphere and features some big names once in a while.

The Boulder Theatre. This venue is a little larger than The Fox Theatre, but still brings in some larger bands and a wide variety of music. This venue has been producing music since 1906 when it was an opera house!

Conor O’Neills. Fantastic bar venue and great for supporting local artists. A lot of Boulder bands and artists got their start here and went on to more legendary stages.

1st bank center. This is located in Broomfield (which is basically down the street from Boulder) and often features some of the largest shows in the area.

Dickens Opera House. This is a venue located in downtown Longmont and features touring acts as well as local artists.

The Laughing Goat Coffee House. Yes, it’s a café. But damn, these artists and bands know how to play! Sure, their tag line is “taste the love” but when they have music going, you can hear the love. Check it out for local, intimate talent.

Macky Auditorium also deserves a shoutout on the local college campus. The venue is gigantic and beautiful! There is a wide variety of who comes up on this stage. Most recently, The Indigo Girls did a show there! But the stage will host anyone from poets to comedians to opera.

So there you have it! Some of the best music venues in Boulder! We’re hoping to play at some of these soon, so make sure you keep an eye on your social media and subscribe below!
